Kid Free

This week we have been kid free. I almost feel guilty writing this, but Scott and I have enjoyed some time to ourselves. Not that we don’t miss our sweet Seth, and we talk about him all the time… but to get to sleep in and clean up with out him coming behind me to redo the mess I just fixed is kind of nice. But it is not something I want to get used to, I would rather have my little man right here with me… mess and all!
While Scott and I are having a great time…I know Seth is too! He is hanging out with Grammy and Pops… who he calls Poppy. 🙂 I don’t think he even misses us. I know this because we can video chat with him through the computer. (pictured above)
He waves and says “Hey” and I may even get a blown kiss, but after a few minutes he is done talking and ready to get on to something else. 🙂 I remember those days and those feelings that Grandparents were the best thing ever…I still feel that way about mine!
This week has given me some time to read. I have been reading two of Dobson’s books… Dare to Discipline and Bringing Up Boys. Let me tell you, I am not much of a reader… but I have loved reading these books! I could barely put them down!
What parenting books are you guys reading these days??? I would love some suggestions. I would also really love to read a book about having more than one kid or introducing the Oldest child to his new sibling.
