Ladies and gentlemen…I am proud to report that Seth has gone “yuck” (#2) in the potty!!!
As you may remember a few weeks ago he had started showing an interest in going potty, and we have only actually done it twice since then. He asks quite often, but i think he is asking when he is actually going in his diaper if that makes sense.
Anyways…right after lunch he asked if he could go…well, let me back up to this morning.
I have been cleaning the house all day today. We have a group of about 45 people coming over from church, so I am trying to get ready. Seth asked me to go potty this morning and I sat him down walked out of the bathroom and continued dusting one room over.
Well, I realize I hear him laughing and playing in his bed room, and it dawns on me he does not have a diaper on. So, I walk in there and realize he has gone #1 on his bedroom floor.
I give him a lecture about how he is not to get off the potty and how the only place to go potty is in the potty. Of course, he is grinning at me while I am saying this and I am trying not to laugh.
OK, as i was saying…after lunch he asked to go potty again. I remind of him of the previous conversation and tell him next time there will be consequences. I run down stairs and change the laundry over and he starts calling my name…”mommy, come here.” As I walk up the stairs I hear him saying “yuck” over and over in a disgusted voice.
I am dreading what I am about to see…but there he was…my little boy standing there pointing to the potty and saying “yuck”. He went #2 in the potty!!!
I am so proud! I cheered and danced around as he just stood there and smiled. And since no one else was here to celebrate…I made sure Seth heard me tell Levi how awesome his big brother was for going in the potty and how happy and proud his mommy was. I could see this look of satisfaction across Seth’s face as I praised him publicly…so sweet!
Can you tell i am excited?
