Free At last…Free At Last

We have a church member that recently went on a medical mission trip to Thailand and Laos.  While in Laos, he and his team were held under arrest for a medical procedure that went wrong.

We have not been able to talk about it via internet for security reasons, but yesterday we found out they have been released and he should be on a plane home Saturday.  Praise the Lord!
I can only imagine how scary this was for his family, especially his wife.  This dear couple is highly respected in our church for their service to the Kingdom.  They both served in Thailand for many years as career missionaries and still serve faithfully today here locally…as well as returning to do foreign missions a few weeks a year.
While, I was deeply concerned for his safety and health while in prison…I couldn’t help but picture him being like Paul… praising the Lord and witnessing to the guards.  This brought me comfort, because this man’s faith is rock solid.  I am so thankful the Lord is bringing him home safely!
Just another reminder how blessed we are as Americans, and that we as Christians are living in a war!
