He keeps on giving

Once again, God continues to show His provision to us.  It has been the most amazing feeling that in the chaos of planning to come in 24 hours, all that He has provided.
I talked earlier about how random friends showed up with financial gifts.  But He also sent people.  In the stress of the day of planning and packing, our friend Peggy Ruhl came and watched the kids all day long.  She bathed and fed them and played with them.  It allowed me the freedom to do the things I needed.  Without her there that day, I don’t think we would have been able to make the trip…..or nobody would have been packed.
He has also sent encouragement through people, texts, emails, face books of prayers and well wishes reminding us of His love for us and for our family, and for our newest addition.
He provided a way for us to be able to leave our car in Atlanta in a safe place while we are gone.  And a precious friend to take us to the air port.
He has provided a way for friends and family to keep our children while we are gone and we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing they are ok.
Then the day we were making our plans to come, He provided someone else…two people actually…..
We have only met through Facebook…  When they found out we were coming through Mumbai, the two new friends picked us up at the air port (cute sign and all) and took us to have Starbucks coffee, and yes I ordered a pumpkin spice latte.  The Starbucks workers said they overheard us talking about how excited we were about the pumpkin flavor, they gave us all a slice of pumpkin pie.  It was delicious!
And the star bucks had free wifi!
Our new friends also brought us an Indian cell phone we could use to contact them and others we know that live in India, if we needed them.  What a comfort!
They are also parents of adopted children, and they were rejoicing with us in our journey.
After some great conversation…I could have visited with them for many more hours…. they dropped us at the air port, twice technically, because we thought we had to go to the domestic side, but needed to fly from the international side.  They did not leave us until we were in the right spot.
They also gave us some great tips on bartering, and what we should be prepared for money wise with certain things we were going to need.
They also gave us some great advice in talking to the adoption attrny which is a whole other blog post coming in the future.  🙂
And last but not least, they told us about a place we could stay for practically nothing when we get to our last leg of the trip in New Delhi, that is clean and safe and would have people we could hang out with.
God is good!!!

Our new buds, Ryan and Sarah
