Road Block

Following some good news of a grant…

Proverbs 31:25

She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.”

I am clinging to this verse right now…
and trying to remember that with Faith… I can laugh at the future.

In other words…

I am not going to worry.  I am not going to fear.  I am not going to get down. I am not going to hit the panic button.

I am going to trust in my Heavenly father that has led us this far and provided answers and provisions all along the journey of adoption.

So here it is…

We got word today that babyheart… the organization that was going to do our daughter’s surgery in India has now cancelled their trip to India.

What does this mean for our girl?

She is okay health wise for now, but will need this surgery in the next coming years.

What does this mean for us?

Well, I guess right now we aren’t sure.  We are looking into many options right now.  She has to have the surgery for insurance purposes here in the states.  But we know God will take care of this!

It also means that we will be fundraising even more, since we lost this opportunity at a free surgery.  But I am up for the task!

What does this mean for you?

This means we need your prayers.  Pray for God to once again provide for our need.  To find a place, a doctor, and to provide the funds needed.

Thanks friends!  Your prayers are priceless to us!

  1. Praying for you and your family during this time! And of course this sweet little girl. For He knows the plans!!

  2. What type of surgery does she have to have. I know that Shriners hospital has kids come over all the time and the surgeries are free. Just a thought.

  3. Kelly, are you familiar with Childspring, Intl? We have hosted 2 children- one from Haiti, one from Jamaica- who have come to the US through this wonderful organization that arranges for children to receive medical care in the US that they cannot receive in their home country. http://www.childspringintl.org
    Praying for you guys! Cindy
