This is our second birth at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. We can not say enough positive things about the hospital and the hospital staff. We had excellent care both times. I was induced, because the last ultra sound showed he was a large baby. And, it worked out to be special, because he was induced on my Nana’s birthday.
Scott always makes fun of me, because I like to be in “full make up” when I deliver. It is just something I have always done. I know there will be lots of pictures, and when I meet my baby for the first time, I want to look good!
Our friend Renea from church came to take pictures of the big event for us and she was even in there for the delivery. Vickie and Donna kept the other three for us while we were in the hospital. We are blessed with a great church family who steps in when our families can’t be there!
Starting to feel the pressure…
And here he is
Joel Edward Parkison
8lbs 9 oz 19 3/4 inches long
You were an easy birth and we only had one interesting thing happen during the process with your birth… the umbilical cord bursts just before you came out. Never seen that before, and the doctor said it is very rare.
Dr. Chesney delivered you and Katy Pierce.
Proud Daddy
You definitely win the hair award…being born with the most!
Your siblings were anxiously awaiting your arrival from the hospital nursery
