We have a local “celebrity” here in Manchester and he is also a member of our church…
DOCSTAR, Dr. David Florence
Dr. Florence has been filming a reality show about his life as a doctor in a small town. It really does make for an interesting show… because Dr. Florence is not your ordinary doctor. He is unconventional for our small town…to quote my sister who was seen by him in an emergency room while visiting with me, “He reminded me of a Beatle.” (While I would say he looks like one of the Beach Boys)… I would definitely say Dr. Florence, his car, and his crazy driving are unique for Manchester!
Dr. Florence has been so kind to my family…seeing us in a pinch… when I can’t get the boys to their pediatrician. He has had us all over for an awesome dinner with his 7 kids, their spouses/dates, and his grand kids.
So, Scott and I RSVP’d Yes when we were invited to the premiere showing of his reality show, DOCSTAR. We knew it would be fun, and that Dr. Florence would make it a real red carpet experience.
The function took place at an old theatre in a town really close by called Winchester…
Mimi also arrived in town for a visit…so she got to come with us. Here are Scott and Mimi pictured with some good friends from church.

It was packed…there was a huge crowd and each person walked the red carpet and had their pictures taken. My most favorite part, besides the actual show… the concession stand was free! 🙂
