“Downtown!”
If you don’t know that song you can listen to it on the video I have attached and be ashamed of yourself for not knowing some good oldies!
While I was home, and while I was playing around with my new camera… I got to go to Downtown Greenville, SC. It has been 4 years since I have lived there. This is the town I grew up in, just in case some of you readers may not know.
Scott and I have said every now and then how we really don’t miss the town of Greenville too much… of course we miss our friends and family, but we have enjoyed living in other states and towns.
However, while I was alone and back home…I took a little stroll downtown. I was reminded of how awesome Greenville’s downtown is. I do believe it is ranked nationally for all it has to offer. I love it because it has some of the “Old Greenville” mixed in with the “New Greenville“.
I thought I would show you some pictures of it…while I was trying to figure out my camera. Please excuse my bad lighting!
Lots of little boutiques and restaurants all down Main Street
I love how Main Street is lined with trees and how the trees are lit at night.
There is park downtown, with tons of walking/running/cycling tacks. They have really fixed it up since I was last there.
Some more paths
A Suspension Bridge… I think I heard it is the first one in the world.
This open air building is used for lots of fun events and receptions…my prom was there. 🙂
The building to the left is the Peace Center for the Performing Arts…. I have spent many a day there performing in ballets and Millie Lewis shows.
Some more of the walking paths.
This downtown is huge and seems to keep expanding every time I come. It is a great place for family outings, dates, and more.
So glad I got to visit you again…I forgot how cool you are!
