For the first time ever, on his own I might add, I heard Seth say to Levi… “I love you, Levi.” My heart just melted. And it was then I realized… Yes, they really will love each other. They may fight and beat each other up in our living room in the future, but if someone called the other a name on the play ground…they would be willing to fight FOR their brother.
They may not share their toys right now, but they are going to be best friends.
Then this also reminded me of my sweet my brother, Brent. Who Scott likes to teasingly call “My Precious” from the movie Lord of the Ring, because Scott says Brent is the favorite amongst the women in my family. And Brent’s reply is… “it’s not easy being perfect.” 🙂
But, I truly did adore my brother growing up. Although there were times he also drove me crazy and I am sure he feels the same way…. maybe I drove him crazy all the time! 🙂 I did get in a fight for my brother on the play ground once.
But, I do want to share that I was cleaning out a closet the other day, because I feel the need to get really organized before I go to India. I came across a Bible I used when I was in middle school and high school. Written on the top left inside cover was “Lord, give me strength with Brent.”
I just thought that was hilarious! But, I do absolutely adore my brother and couldn’t be prouder of the person he has become. I absolutely love his wife and can’t wait to see what God has in store for their family!
Brothers…they are the best!
