Yesterday, thanks to my good friend Melanie Bell watching Seth, Scott and I were able to go to chapel at the Seminary yesterday and hear Dr. Frank Page. I was also excited to see his lovely wife Dale!
Dr. Page is my former pastor at Taylors FBC in South Carolina and he currently serves as the President of the Southern Baptist Convention. Not only was he Scott’s boss and our pastor…Their family is so special to me. They opened up their house to my sister and I when we needed a place to stay while my parents remodeled their home…I think I lived with the Pages for three months. I am also close to their two oldest daughters- Melissa and Laura. Needless to say, it was wonderful getting to see them yesterday!
He preached an awesome message on John 10:10…”The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I have come so that you could have life and have life abundantly.” The Holy Spirit got all over me about letting the enemy steal my joy at times.
