One of our family traditions is on Christmas Eve we make a birthday cake for Jesus. In past years, I just made a cake and we decorated it and sang to Jesus.
But this year, it became even more special…
A church member gave us a box and inside was a a cool story/guide to making a Happy Birthday Jesus Cake with all the ingredients and toppings.
For example: The cake mix was dark chocolate, and it had a verse and guide that explained how we are full of sin and darkness.
Then the icing was white… with scripture and story representing Jesus… washing our sins white as snow.
We decorated it with an angel, red candles, a star, and greenery…. each one having their own special meaning.
It was so much more cool then just making a cake. And, as the boys get older I think it will have even more of a deeper meaning to them. Thanks Ms. Ann for the cool box!
A little taste test…
