Woke up the first morning to a wonderful breakfast! I want to go ahead a clarify that we were not in the Colorado Rockies, but we were in the Rampart Range Mountains with Cheyenne Mountain and Pikes Peak being really close to us. I learned some geography while I was there!!!
Seth loved using the binoculars to look for animals.
There is all kinds of wild life in Colorado Springs. One day, Seth and I were on the back porch and a fox came within 10 feet of us. It was beautiful! We got to stare at him for about 20 seconds, but then Seth couldn’t resist… “A FOX!!!” screamed at the top of his lungs. We saw tons of deer and mountain goats. No wild bear unfortunately…Scott and I really wanted to see one.
Aunt Patty loving on Levi
To the Zoo…This is the only zoo set in the side of a mountain in the States. Really cool… hands down the best zoo we have ever been too!
One of the coolest exhibits was feeding the Giraffes. Seth loved it!
This is how Levi spent his zoo trip. He was cozy and warm! It was really cold that day.
I call this picture… “Pay Back”
The bear exhibit was also a favorite!
He’s alive!!!
“….the circle of life”
I’m too sexy for my cage!
see the baby?
This gorilla was so funny!
We went into this bird room. There were over 200 birds in there. It was really loud but really cool to see all the colors and to hear their songs!
Seth wanted to hold the bird, but he didn’t want Seth. I wonder why? 🙂
