Day 6 of Thankfulness

Day 6… I am thankful for my baby girl.
My baby girl…Katy Pierce, and yes it is a double name.  🙂  We often call her KP, and her Daddy and brothers call her Honey Bee.
I was so excited to find out we were having a girl.  I just didn’t think it would happen after having two boys.  It brought me into a new world as a mom… the world of cute ruffly clothes, hair bows, and tutus.  So fun!
This little one was born at 12:44 on 4/4/12… something I will never forget because the numbers are backwards from each other.  I am pretty sure she weighed 8 lbs 6oz.  (Cant remember for sure…my smallest of the 4)  She had a head full of hair.  She had the sweetest little face and she just seemed so content.  She also has beautiful blue eyes, we aren’t exactly sure where they came from.  My Papa Jimmy had pale blue eyes, so maybe him.  🙂
I just knew when she was born and when I held her in my arms that she and I were going to be “tight.” I know girls are often Daddy’s girls…. but I think girls definitely have a special relationship with their moms too.  I think Lyla and KP will be close too… all three of us!
Her Daddy is smitten with her, and instantly he bonded with you too.  He was also so excited to have a daughter, and he says you and Lyla can do know wrong 🙂 and live at our house forever! 🙂
My little KP is showing signs of being very independent, and a little bit of a loner.  She is more attached to me, and has often cried for me through her 18 months.  🙂  She loves all of her siblings and her Daddy too!  She likes to be outside and can play rough, but at the same time she can be very girly.
She is like her Mama, in that she loves to eat!  She and I love to eat Mexican!
She has always generally been pretty expressive and smiley.  She is also a screamer.  If she is not happy… you know it!  The neighbors might even know it.  🙂
I can not imagine my life with out this girl.  She brings me so much happiness.
