Soccer has started up again. We were really hoping this would be the season where the boys could be on the same team, but Seth actually moved up to U8 and Levi plays in U6.
Levi’s team is packed full with kids that have never played before (except him) and they are all 4. They are actually pretty good. And they are always so fun to watch. They do the cutest things.
Levi was getting pumped up for his game, I guess…because he asked to have his hair spiked up for the game. He wanted to be an intimidating force! ha!
And I introduce, The Killer Bees, and who is that random guy in the blue shirt?
Scott is the Assistant Coach for the team.
….”Now listen Killer Bees, you go out there and crush those other four year olds. This is not about fun this is about WINNING!” haha I have no clue what Scott was saying, but it is rather humorous to me to people watch during soccer. There are definitely some parents and coaches that believe each game is the National Championship game.
Not that I don’t like winning, and not that I don’t scream(coaching from the sideline) hysterically the whole time my boys are in the game!
Levi had just kicked it away from his opponent. He has some great defensive skills.
Coming down the field to score
YES!!! He had two goals this game.
Then he looks over and gives me his little grin. The one where his tongue goes to the side of his mouth! 🙂 (You click on the pictures and make them larger if you want to see his face.)
One more action shot…he is really leaning in and going after that ball!
One of the highlights for the kids, is usually at the end of each game, the parents make a tunnel for the kids to run through and each one gets cheered for. It always warms my heart, because every kid feels special when they run through it.
Here comes my champion!
Then it was time for Seth’s game. As I mentioned earlier, he moved up to an older division and is the youngest on his team. I think he is doing a great job keeping up with those 8 year olds!
He looks so grown up with his hair longer. Don’t worry Grammy, haircuts are coming soon!

Throwing the ball in from the side
Here is my other soccer star. He scored a goal! So proud of him! And he too, turns to look at me, to make sure I saw it. I was cheering for him so hard as he was going in for the score, I didn’t pick up the camera.
