We checked into the hospital Tuesday night, and they ran some blood tests on Lyla. We did not find out until Wednesday morning that her blood showed she has a mild infection, and also her hemoglobin is low, as well as her iron. So instead of her umbrella device closure today, she had a blood transfusion.
I have a post about our hospital stay so far, but I will have to share later. We have very limited internet access at the moment.
But right now she is in the PICU receiving her transfusion. We ran out to find out how we can get better internet, and are at the hotel eating and showering.
Trying to get back to our little girl so when she comes out we will be there.
So for now… the procedure will be tomorrow unless something else changes.
About the passport, looks like we will be flying back to Ahmedabad next week to get the passport worked out, as long as she is recovered well.
While it all seems stressful, it is so worth it. The smile on Lyla’s face and the more we get to know her we are totally in love and would do anything for this little girl…just like our other children!
Thanks for the prayers….they are sustaining us.
We also talked with Baby Shloak’s dad today. He said he is stable but only time will tell how the surgery will help him. Please keep praying for him too.
Praying for your sweet girl, and for Baby S . . . Thank you so much for writing — we are waiting for our daughter's passport, and reading your blog is helping me prepare for welcoming her into our family.
