‘Isn’t that something you do off the high dive?”

Yes, ladies and gentlemen…that was the response my husband gave our Bible study class when they surprised us with tickets to the Nutcracker.

I was stoked about the surprise.  Most of my friends know that I grew up dancing and ballet and the Nutcracker was a huge part of my life.  In fact, I haven’t been to a Nutcracker since I was in it in 1996.  🙂  So I was very happy to go!
Scott on the other hand, being the very sophisticated cultured man that he is responded to the tickets with statement above.  (I am so proud-haha)
The class also gave Scott a Nutcracker survival kit…it consisted of Tool and Shop magazine and high sugared candy to keep him awake.  Too funny!
The class also provided free child care, so we could have a date night.  I was so touched!
We had a blast.  I only had to get on to Scott one time….when the first male dancer came out in his tight tights…Scott laughed out loud.  At that pont, I almost sent him to the lobby…but he gained control and behaved nicely the rest of the show.
Now, every night I have the privilege of seeing the Russian Candy Cane dance from the second act of the Ballet as Scott loves to do his impression of the dancers for me.  Maybe one night I can sneak a video of that on to the blog!!!!  He is so good at twirling around the coffee table!
