Please pray for our rest!
I am so thankful for the moms that have gone before me and shared their stories with me of their adoption experiences. I know one of the things that my friend Gwen has mentioned, she talked about being physically and emotionally exhausted, because you literally have to pour into your child 24/7….helping them to connect with you and for you to connect with them. So with the time change, and all that has gone into the last few days, please pray for our rest.
I am all about Lyla when I am awake, and I know my other kiddos are a asleep. But then, when it is our bed time…all I think about is our kids at home, because I know they are awake. I also know they are fine and doing wonderful and are well taken care of… but I am missing them and worry about them.
I keep reminding myself that God’s love and protection stretches across this whole world and even though I am far…He is with them.
Please pray for rest and peace…tomorrow is a big day. We head to the hospital. Not sure if her actual surgery will be tomorrow or if she is just being evaluated, and then surgery Tuesday??? But we will keep you posted!
I want to post all about our day today with pictures, but I really need to go to bed and get some rest, but here are a few highlights:
No crying today!
Her personality is starting to show, and she is silly, goofy, and hyper….and somewhat demanding. 🙂
She is sleeping well, and eating well.
She is starting to mimic.
She enjoyed flying on her first plane ride.
