One step closer to home…

The Passport has arrived, and I have it in hand!  We found out later this afternoon and went to pick it up from the orphanage.  Unfortunately Mr. Pandit would not let me see any of the children.  He gave me some more forms to sign, and also really emphasized that I was to mail him two color copies of the visa from Delhi.  He made me promise, and even gave me a self addressed envelope.  I have not heard of this step???   But, I will do it because he asked.  I should have bargained picture taking of kids over it!
This morning, Lyla and I went off by ourselves in an auto (rickshaw) to have a Mommy and Me date.  I had some little items I wanted to purchase. It started raining on us, and the driver couldn’t find some of the places we wanted to go, and it became quite the adventure.  It was okay with me, because Lyla was having a good time riding around and we had nowhere to be…while waiting for a passport.
During our rickshaw adventure, I found myself asking… What would Jack Bauer do?
Ha!  I have seen billboards of India’s new hit show 24.  I loved this show when it aired in America, and would love to see the Indian version of it!!!
(the taller billboard is the 24 advertisement)

Here is a better advertisement… This picture and the name Safari Storme just makes me smile.

I digress…

Then I got together with a group of friends here to pray and study truth together.  Some of the friends even kept Lyla for me, so I could have some time to myself…and it worked out great, because I ended up heading to the orphanage and she did not have to be with me.
There is not much of a post here, because I am up packing and getting ready to head to New Delhi in the morning to start the process of applying for her Visa!  My friends the Rainbolts in a different state here, gave me some excellent advice to get prepared for the process!  So blessed to have friends here in India!
She has to have a  medical test done tomorrow, it’s part of our US Embassy requirements to make sure she is not bringing in any diseases.
I am hoping by the time this process gets done, I could be home by Tuesday or Wednesday.  There are two holidays that happen next week in India, so the Embassy will be closed two days!  Lets pray for no more delays!!!  But, I continue to learn that God’s timing is best!
I also want to say I am going to dearly miss my friends that I have stayed with here.  What a blessing they have been to my family!  We have really become good friends, and I hope that one day we can meet together again!

And I leave you with an Indian puzzle…

Look of the letters fb on the sign on the top of the building (not the billboard) in the picture.  You can’t read the sign well, but it says Facebook restaurant.  What do you order to eat there?  Discuss…
