I thought I would ask all of my friends and family in blog world to be praying for Scott and I about a new opportunity coming our way.
As some of you may know, Scott has been the singles minister at Taylors First Baptist Church for almost 5 years now. When Scott first felt the call into ministry at 18, he felt like the Lord was going to lead him into a pastorate position one day. Well the time has come.
We are real excited about the next step that God is leading us into. There is a wonderful church in North Carolina, Wakefield Baptist Church, and they are looking to call Scott as their pastor. In fact, this Sunday Scott will be preaching there and the congregation will be voting to accept him as their pastor.
Scott and I have been praying about this opportunity for months and we both feel the Lord is in it.
Wakefield is a 5 year old church plant, supported by a “mother church”, Bayleaf Baptist. Will Graham, Billy Graham’s grandson, was the pastor there until he decided to go and work for his family’s ministries.
Right now they currently meet in a office complex, but are building a church right now to be ready this December. You can check out their current site to find out more about Wakefield.
Please be praying for us this Sunday as we go before the congregation. We are really excited and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store!
