Spring in DC- The End

The first pics are of the Washington Monument.  This is the first time I have officially seen it.  When I lived there it had some construction going on, so I saw only the top  half of it. IT’s cool and you can ride up in it, but they had already sold all the tickets for the day, so we didn’t get too.  Next time.
These last pics are so dear to me, because we spent a good bit of time at the WWII Memorial.  All of my grandfathers served during this time.
It actually opened while I lived there, but Scott had never seen it.  They had all kinds of veterans there that day and I was crying the whole time.  It was awesome to know that they could see this memorial and know that their country appreciates them.  Most of them were in wheelchairs or struggling to walk, but they were so proud to be there.  Cool!

This is my all time favorite picture. And this is for you Papa Walter… Seth standing with the SC part of the Memorial… where his Great Grandfather served.

And we couldn’t forget Mississippi!  🙂
