Since Halloween fell on a Sunday night this year. The town decided to trick or treat on Friday when it wasn’t a school night. However, our church had a Trunk or Treat on Sunday for the community. We had around 350 people come. It was a great turn out!
Scott and I have never been to a Trunk or Treat before, but we had a blast! If you have never been to one… pretty much everyone decorates the trunks of their cars and kids walk to each trunk and get candy. Some of the people went all out on their trunks which makes it more fun for the kiddos. Scott and I didn’t really know we were supposed to decorate, so we sat on the back of his truck bed and he ran home to get our pumpkin off the porch to make the truck look somewhat festive. At church, this past Sunday they awarded Scott with the worst trunk and gave him some money for a car wash. It was pretty funny. You should see Scott’s truck….he has been getting it pretty muddy lately! We’ll be ready for next year!
Here a few pics of the evening. I wish I would have gotten some of the trunks!
We changed Levi over to a Tiger for this event… because it was going to be a cold night and it had a built in hat.
Here is Seth and Nicholas. Seth’s new “Big boy” buddy. (That’s what Seth calls him). They are riding a train.
Levi did not want to ride the train at all. Instead he wanted to drive it all night long. I could hardly get him off. Thanks Mr. Johnny for sharing the conductor position!
There was an awesome blue grass band for entertainment. Our youth band also played, and they were super!
