Here is the latest and greatest on baby #2…
When I first found out I was pregnant, my doctor told me there was going to be a great chance that this baby would be larger than Seth and could be 11 lbs. For those of you who don’t know…Seth was 9. 14 lbs. when he was born.
After the birth of Seth I had several complications as well, so my doctor here in NC recommended that I consider a c-section with this one. But he did order an ultra sound for my last month, so we could be sure and I could make a decision about the c-section.
Well, I had that ultra sound last week and it looks like baby #2…Levi Scott Parkison…is going to be 8 1/2 pounds at the most, so I opted to have him naturally (with an epidural of course, I am not Shera, for those of you who remember that cartoon.) Plus the doctor said I would be totally fine and probably wouldn’t have to have any type of episiotomy.
The doctor said the baby and I look very healthy and the only unexpected news is that I am already dilating. (1 1/2 cm) As far as I am concerned this baby is welcome to come any day now! He is due on the 21st.
And, As far as Scott is concerned…he would love for the baby to come before Jan 1st, so we get the tax break and before we start over with our deductible. 🙂
