Ok, we just got some unpleasant news. Please just pray. We are getting ready to head the hospital tonight to admit Lyla, and her surgery/procedure will be done in the morning. However, we just received an email from the orphanage that they were unable to process her passport without her there in person. Something we quadruple checked with the orphanage before we left Ahmedabad. This means an extended trip once again, and more expenses in flights and hotel. We are researching if we can apply for the passport ourselves in Hyderabad…but we are not sure yet. Stress is elevated even more, because of the communication barrier and not being able to understand each other clearly. Please pray.
God has continued to show us His provision and support the whole time…just clinging to that.
Hi Amanda, Scott & the beautiful Lyla!!!!
We have been following your blog closely, this trip is turning out to be an emotional roller coaster for you. We were delighted to hear that Lyla's procedure will not be as invasive, although these children are petite they are as tough as nails. The issue with the passport is just another bump in this very long adoption road but where there is a will there is a way. We are following you every step of the way and we are sure everything will work out in the end. Lyla seems to be a real character and it sounds as if she has the measure of you both already!!! This trip will leave you with some fantastic memories which you will share with Lyla in years to come.
Take care,
Damien & Orla
PS Scott….there's a large bug just over your right shoulder!!!!!!
Continually praying for you. Please let Shloak's parents know we are praying for him as well!
