Zanzibar!

Zanzibar is the theme for our nursery. It is a child like safari theme. Originally I wanted to do lambs, but Scott said that was too feminine…and he picked this theme out. I am so glad he did, because I really like it! It looks so cute in the room and I think it is something Seth can grow into as well.

My Mom and my cousin Jamie helped me decorate and organize everything. Thank goodness for them, or everything might still be spread all over the floor!

We got really lucky with our furniture as well. The crib came from a family/church friend and it just happened to match Scott’s furniture from when he was a little boy. We also found a changing table to match…it looks really good!

Check out all the clothes in the closet…I am afraid Seth is already taking after his mother. He will definitely have a new outfit everyday for the first few months of his life.

I also have to end with one final picture of our first baby, Samson. I catch him in the baby’s room exploring a good bit. I really think he is trying to figure out how to get a hold of some of the stuffed animals.

I need some helpful hints from some of you dog lovers out there…

I have been walking around holding a cabbage patch doll of mine and doting all over it- trying to get Samson used to me giving attention to someone else. Well he doesn’t like it…he starts barking like crazy until I pick him up as well. I am not worried about Samson being mean to Seth, because he really is friendly and he plays well with small children. But I think he will be jealous.

Any ideas on how to get Samson and Seth to bond?
